When Danielle asked me if I had ever done an engagement session at Purgatory Chasm I said no, but I had no problem doing pictures there. I hadn’t been there in a while, but life is an adventure right? I get there, and Danielle and Scott were looking pretty beautiful/handsome, and she was wearing these killer green heels. Now I don’t know about you, but depending on the shoe… I can barely walk across a floor, let alone go hiking. She had sneakers with her, so it was all good. Lucky for her because the momma in me would have come out and said something about falling and cracking her head. I can’t help it! Meanwhile… me, a camera bag, a camera around my neck and of course lets not forget how graceful I am. Hiking… sure. Why not. Well, I’m so glad we did, because we got some great photos. Good call Danielle. I had so much fun with the two of you. Can’t wait for your wedding! xo
I love Portsmouth, it’s so charming and quaint. I go there every year with my family when we go on our vacation. When Amanda and Jim suggested we go there to do engagement photos, I was like “yeah!” Of course the day of our shoot it rained… like all day. But that didn’t stop us! We ran for cover when we needed to, had some fun with the umbrellas, laughed at my photo bombing assistant and had some quality snuggle time. Overall, I gave the day 2 big thumbs up. Thanks Amanda and Jim for a fun time and for being troupers in the rain. I can’t wait for you wedding! xo
I think Jodi adds a certain… sweetness? to this photo. LOL!
How’s everyone’s summer going? Good? Good. I have been a busy little bee this summer, so I’ve fallen behind on posting. I have lots of fun stuff to put up soon and I will start with a cute engagement shoot that I did at the Boston Public Garden. The palm trees were planted which were very pretty and so not Boston. You almost forget where you are for a minute and then you look up and see the George Washington statue and the busy streets behind you. It kind of made me want a tropical drink with a little umbrella, just saying. Melissa and Mike were so fun to work with. He just happens to have the same last name as me which automatically makes him awesome AND wait until I tell you how he proposed to the beautiful Melissa! He built a Christmas float and the characters for a parade in July and popped the question on the float! You can see the video montage of it here http://vimeo.com/32207251. So cute! I loved hanging out guys… I can’t wait for your wedding!
I got to play dress up with this GORGEOUS little lady recently. It was an extra special shoot for me because she is my niece… and she just turned 21. Ugh… time flies. I remember when she was 3 and we would go to the park, blow bubbles, eat ice cream and take pictures. Well, some things don’t change because we still have ice cream and take pictures. She came over and we played hair and makeup and went to Waters Farm for a few photos. I don’t need to tell you how beautiful she is, you can see that for yourself. But as much fun as it always is for me to be behind the camera, I’m not going to lie, there was a bit of a lump in my throat watching her… be her. All grown up. Beautiful. Confident. Carefree. She was my first “baby” and seeing her evolve into this brilliant young lady is, well… amazing. We had fun hanging out and being silly, and for a spit second while I was watching her laugh in the sun light, it brought me back to when she was 3. And when we were done with our perfect afternoon… we had a perfect ending. An ice cream cone.
