Wedding at UpStairs on the Square

Suzy and Roger… can we say SO SWEET together! I think one of my favorite things of the day was how Roger looked at Suzy. I think I must have said it like 1000 times that day! Every girl should have that. And Suzy… well, she was just beautiful. It’s so amazing to be on the other side during the whole wedding day process. We see the nervous energy and then the calm when the couple sees each other for the first time. The love they feel for each other, the tears of happiness. I love being able to tell the story of their day. It’s such a whirlwind for the couple that I’m sure they don’t even realize everything going on around them. I certainly didn’t when I got married. And to look at your photos afterward is to relive one of the most memorable days of your life. I’m such a sappy person… I can’t help it! I love all of it! Veronica and I started out at Hotel Marlowe to capture some getting ready, first look and formal portrait action and then headed to UpStairs on the Square for the ceremony and the reception. I always say this… if you haven’t experienced UpStairs… go… now. They were surrounded by friends and family who watched on with love in their eyes. I would definitely say it was one resplendent day. Thanks Suzy and Roger for having us along, and thanks to the always wonderful Veronica Morrissette for being my trusty second shooter.

Alexander McQueen inspired Editorial Shoot for Well Wed Magazine

Ummm… how much do I love my job! Sooo much! I got to be a part of the fun at this amazing Alexander McQueen inspired shoot for Well Wed magazine. The amazing team from InWhite put together this masculine meets feminine editorial for Well Wed. Who is InWhite you ask? Well, it consists of Carla TenEyck photographer extraordinaire and good friend, White Dress by the Shore, a luxury bridal boutique, Coral Pheasant Stationary + Design, a purveyor of unique custom paper goods and stationary for weddings, celebrations and beyond, Jennie Fresa Makeup and Skincare Boutiquerie, Jubilee Events, a CT based event design and planning boutique, and Vintage Cinema, Jim Altieri creates moving art!

The flowers…Gorg!! The design came from the mind of Tony from Datura A Modern Garden. He’s not your average bear in the land of floral design, that’s for sure. We shot at the New Haven Lawn Club. Art deco beauty. Ahhh!

There was so much pretty going on all around me and I was so excited to be a part of the action. Thanks for having me along guys. Here is a little sampling of what I got to do that day… enjoy, I did.

Union Station Engagement Shoot

Erinn and Mike had their engagement shoot at Union Station in Worcester. The architecture inside and out is just so pretty. It’s a historical building in Worcester being built in 1875. The station closed in 1975 and was then bought and restored in 1995 with the doors re-opening in July of 2000. We all got there and it was freezing outside! Perfect weather for snuggling. They were champs and totally braved the winds without a negative peep! I give em big points for that. I think I was the one belly aching about my hands being frozen… haha… big baby that I was. Zip it Briggs! We got some really sweet photos. You could definitely see the love between these two. Erinn and Mike… looking forward to your wedding! xo

Wachusett Country Club Wedding

Vanessa and Steve are the epitome of two people in love. You can literally feel the joy emanating from them. We started out doing our “getting ready” photos. Me with the girls and Veronica with the guys. The talented Barbara Rodriguez was in charge of making Vanessa look gorgeous, and did she ever! We then headed to Wachusett Country Club for our “first look”. The anticipation for that moment was crazy! And the photos we got as a result… so sweet! We had a lightly snowy day and got some amazing photos outside. So romantic! I really loved photographing your wedding. Lovely Wedding at UpStairs on the Square

We started out at the Millennium Hotel in Boston the day of Katherine and David’s wedding. We walked around Quincy Market and ducked around alley ways between the buildings and took some really pretty photos. The ceremony and reception was at one of my favorite places, UpStairs on the Square. I had so much fun with this couple… Katherine is a crack up. There was one point when the “paparazzi” started taking photos of them! See if you can find the photo I’m talking about… hehe. I was so excited to know that Apryl from Petalena did the flowers! Apryl is very talented and creative… and a true sweetheart. She and I go way back and it was great to cross paths professionally again. Thanks for letting us be part of your beautiful wedding and thanks to my girl Veronica Morrissette for bringing her talents.

Tougas Farm Engagement Shoot

This sweet engagement shoot is from the fall. I know, I know… we’re in the middle of winter in New England. I’ve been a blogging slacker. We went to Tougas Farm to take a few pictures. I go there with my kids all the time, but I’ve never shot there before. It was fun to see it through different eyes. Nikki and Brian were adorable together and a dream to shoot with. I loved hanging out with them and look forward to their wedding. Mostly because it’s going to be warm outside when they get married. Hahaha… just kidding. OF COURSE it’s because I can’t wait to be part of this amazing couple’s special day and I’m thrilled for them. xo

Wedding at UpStairs on the Square

I just love UpStairs on the Square. When Liz told me that’s where she and her sweetie Rob were tying the knot, I was excited to be back again. We started off at the Liberty Hotel for a few getting ready photos and some portraits, and then we were off to an intimate little ceremony with a handful of friends and family at UpStairs. If you haven’t been… I highly recommend stopping in for dinner sometime. Liz and Rob, thanks for letting me be part of your celebration. xo

Artists for Humanity Epicenter Wedding Boston, MA

Jing and Bradley got married at the Artists for Humanity Epicenter in Boston, MA. The AFH is a center “dedicated to the voice, vision and virtuosity of teens and environmental responsibility”. They are pretty amazing in what they do for the city’s youth. They have intensive mentoring and teach kids multi media skills in everything from painting to sculpting to photography to web design. I was really excited to shoot a wedding there. Jing and Bradley of course brought their own sense of style to the space and the wedding was just beautiful. Bradley made an origami curtain of swallows. Wait until you see it… so pretty! I loved having such an artistic backdrop for my art. Very inspiring. And the couple… well, they were adorable and a blast to work with. Thanks to Jing and Bradley for letting me capture your special day and thanks to my amazing friend Veronica Morrissette for second shooting for me.

Stevens Estate Wedding

Melissa and Mike’s wedding… so many cool things going on, where do I begin? The wedding was held at the lovely Stevens Estate and the details were all Melissa and Mike. You see, Mike is an artist and made the backdrop for the photo booth. Land of the Misfit toys… nbd. And he also made the cartoon characters that were placed all about the grounds. Amazing. Oh… and Mike’s band Karate Show totally rocked it out. Sounds like a really fun wedding right? Well, it was. A little background info on the photo booth backdrop. Mike proposed to Melissa on this Land of the Misfit toys float. He made it for a Christmas parade in July and unbeknownst to her, he was planning on popping the question. He then took part of it and made it into the backdrop for their photo booth at their wedding. Wait until you see all the detail that went into this! Waters Farm Engagement Session

Ashley and Mike are quite possibly the cutest couple I have ever seen. And throw their daughter into the mix… I can barely take it. Talk about personality! This kid absolutely cracks me up! We met up at Waters Farm, I know… Waters Farm. I think that place was the place to be for a lot of my clients. Everyone just loves it and always wants to go there! Anyway, we met up and had a serious snuggle sesh. Well… them, not me. Not that I wouldn’t snuggle. Everyone knows I love a good snuggle but I did my best to resist and took some photos. I loved hanging out with you two (three). I’m so looking forward to your wedding! xo
