Addison and Prince’s wedding at Camp Putnam

I had the pleasure of photographing Addy and Prince’s wedding at Camp Putnam with my friend Katie Carlson. Yup… I said camp. How fun it that!! It’s exactly what you’re thinking. That awesomly (is that a word?) fun place you used to go to as a kid. They had 2 ceremonies. A traditional Nigerian one and a western one. Not the cowboy kind ;-) So all is well and we are going to get to photograph twice the fun right… except it was pouring out! And… one of the ceremonies was supposed to be outside by the lake. Boo rain! No worries from Addy and Prince though, they totally just rolled with it. How cool are they! They had 2 amazing ceremonies filled with friends, family, music and lots of love. And by the end of the night Addy’s dress was caked with mud, but you know what? She had her Prince charming. And they lived happily ever after. Thanks for letting us be a part of your day, we had so much fun! xo

Fotini and Dan’s wedding at the Liberty Hotel in Boston

I had the pleasure of shooting Fotini (who happens to be a childhood friend) and Dan’s wedding with my lovely sidekick Veronica Morrissette. It was a blending of cultures, her family being from Greece and his from Spain. Lots of family, friends and love to go around. It was fun to watch the little wedding traditions that Fotini’s family had. There is one where she writes the names of the single girls on the bottom of her shoe and at the end of the night, whose ever name is still left will be the next one to get married. Another one is where her dad has to help her on with her shoes, but they don’t seem to fit, so he has to put money in them to see if that helps… haha. I love all of it. I’m Greek myself, so all of these traditions that I took for granted as a child hold a special place in my heart now.

They got married at Saints Constantine and Helen Church in Cambridge, MA and the reception was at the Liberty Hotel in Boston. I don’t know if you’ve ever been there, but that hotel is amazing! Here’s a little bit of trivia… it used to be the Charles Street Jail. There’s been a bit of renovating since then and it has these beautiful windows and grand catwalks. You’ll have to go and check it out sometime.

So onto Fotini and Dan’s big fat greek wedding… Oh wait, that was MY wedding. I still laugh when I think about it. Luckily my husband just rolls with whatever comes his way… lol, that’s why he fits riiiight in.

Ok, ok… too much of me getting sidetracked. Here’s to Fotini and Dan and their beautiful wedding. We had a wonderful time lovelies, thanks so much for having us along. xo

Cristin & Joe’s “Don’t Tell the Bride” wedding at Luciano’s Lake Pearl

Cristin and Joe got married and had a bit of an unconventional wedding. They were on a show called Don’t Tell the Bride which was on the Oprah Winfrey Network. Basically the premise of the show is that Joe has to plan EVERYTHING from soup to nuts for the wedding day… in 3 weeks… WHAT?? Cristin is totally in the dark about everything, EVEN HER DRESS! Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I could handle someone else picking out my dress. That’s kiiiinda important. So Joe went on his journey of planning… a Boston Celtics themed wedding! That’s right folks… a Boston Celtics themed wedding. Saying the boy likes sports is an understatement. It all turned out lovely and it was so much fun for Veronica Morrissette and I to get to document the day. They had a sunset ceremony outside at Lucaino’s Lake Pearl. We had a blast! The show will air again on TLC and I’ll let you all know when it does. See if you can spot me and Veronica… lol. Thanks Cristin and Joe for letting us be a part of your day. We got to hang with reality tv show staaaahs. :0)

Mary & Andy’s Upstairs on the Square wedding Cambridge, MA

Things that I loved about Mary & Andy’s wedding… Mary’s creative flair that was in full force the whole day, the way Andy looked at Mary, all the fun everyone was having, Mary’s face when she laughs… the list goes on and on. You’ll just have to pull up a chair and see for yourself. LOVED everything about this wedding. Veronica (my side kick, partner in crime, second shooter, good friend… you get the drift) and I had an amazing time shooting. Thanks for having us guys! xo
